At the current time I don't search financing for the following projects and consider them as a part of my past life only.


All screenplays were written in 2006-2007 years and then partially rewritten.

None of them have been sold and shot yet, although some companies were interested in doing it. One British film production company planned to purchase the first screenplay but could not find financing. And one American company wanted to option/purchase both screenplays but the price was too small for me.

A short description of the style of my works: I'm a folk-writer.



«Blood on the Snow» – gritty social drama with a religious subtext analyzing American, European and Muslim values.
In crime-ridden cold Moscow (Russia) a Muslim guy breaks free from the gangster clan of his relatives, gets education and emigrates to America after killing four men.

The main characters of the story are Muslims from Northern Caucasus. But it is possible to replace Muslims with Mountain Jews. (These Jews differ significantly by culture from Ashkenazi Jews which are usually shown in movies.)



«The City of Winter Dreams» – romantic Christmas tragicomedy.

(This screenplay exists in 4 versions - American, British, German, Russian/European.)

Three love stories with Irish, Jewish and Armenian motifs in Moscow (Russia) on New Year's Eve. Folk music and dances, hot Southern girls, a whole lot of social problems, one fatal shot and the close up of a kiss at the end of the movie.

I can't write professionally on daily basis and do it with use of inspiration only in the critical moments of my life. That's why it's difficult to say whether I will write again and when it will happen.


EXPERIENCE

In 2008th year I wrote detailed explications of two plays and planned to put them on the stage with a group of actors.

«Forget Herostratus» by Grigory Gorin
«Only Name in the Frozen Air...» by Olga Zverlina

These explications were highly appreciated by many professional actors whom I contacted, but due to financial difficulties and absence of actors of required dramatic types nothing came out.

EDUCATION

I have theoretical education in directing of theatrical plays and knowledge of human sciences (psychology, ethnography, anthropology, psychoanalysis, sociology, culturology). This education is not official - I received it by myself in a public library when I was young.
